INSULECTRO PROMOTES CHRIS HUNRATH TO CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — LAKE FOREST, CA

Insulectro, the largest distributor of materials used in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards and printed electronics, has promoted longtime employee Chris Hunrath to Chief Operating Officer (CTO).

Insulectro President and CEO Patrick Redfern made the announcement, “For many years, Chris Hunrath has been a visible, trusted technical voice across the business and markets Insulectro serves, engaging daily with customers, suppliers, and OEMs that power the North American electronics market. I am pleased to announce his promotion from Vice President of Technology to CTO.

“Chris is relentless about educating the industry on current and leading-edge technologies, from materials to design best practices through seminars, conference sessions, and customer enablement programs. He has been instrumental in introducing and scaling advanced technologies and partnerships with fabricators and OEMs helping activate new materials ecosystems and distribution relationships that expand what our customers can build.”

Ken Parent, Chief Operating Officer, agrees, “Chris embodies our mission: real depth of technical knowledge, customer obsession, and the courage to push the industry forward. This promotion recognizes his daily impact and the trajectory he’s setting for our company and customers.”

In his new position, Hunrath will lead Insulectro’s technology strategy across Printed Circuit Board (PCB), UHDI and Substrate, and Printed Electronics markets. He will remain based in Insulectro’s San Jose branch facility.

Insulectro Promotes Mitchell Benson to Product Manager -Laminates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – LAKE FOREST, CA

Insulectro announces the promotion of Mitchell Benson to Product Manager for its rigid laminate portfolio.

Michelle Walsh, Vice President of Product Management stated, “I’m pleased to announce that Mitchell Benson has been promoted to Product Manager – Laminates, effective this week.

“Mitchell will continue to lead sales efforts for EMC and Arlon products while expanding his involvement across our laminate business. In this enhanced role, he’ll be directly engaging with fabricators and OEM customers, strengthening relationships with our key laminate
supplier, driving sales, and contributing to the strategic direction of our company.

“Mitchell’s deep product knowledge, dedication, and results-driven approach make him a strong fit as Insulectro’s go-to resource for EMC and Arlon products.”

Benson joined Insulectro two years ago when Insulectro began distributing the world’s best laminates and prepregs manufactured by EMC and its stateside subsidiary Arlon.

Benson exclaimed, “I am appreciative for the opportunity to step into the Product Manager – Laminates role. It’s exciting to take on this next challenge and continue building on the success we have had as North American distributor for EMC and, Arlon.

“I look forward to getting even more involved with our customers and acquainting them with what EMC Arion products can do. We have such a superior product offering. I’m ready to hit the ground running.

Walsh added, “Norm Berry will continue in his role as the Director of Laminates and OEM Sales and will work closely with Mitchell to support this expanded role with our laminate business.”

Benson entered the printed circuit business as a Technical Sales Representative for AMS Products. In that capacity, he traveled around the West Coast selling consumables and machinery to the PCB industry.

In 2023, Benson joined Insulectro. He received his education from Georgia College & State University.

Felix Martinez Promoted to Insulectro VP of Operations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – LAKE FOREST, CA

Insulectro is pleased to announce the internal promotion of Felix Martinez to Vice President of Operations.

Ken Parent, Insulectro COO made the announcement, “With over 25 years of experience in the printed circuit board (PCB) industry, Felix has spent the last 19 years contributing to the success and growth of several Redfern companies. Felix always has his teams’ best interest in mind and has gained the trust of his teammates due to his unwavering support.”

Felix’s journey with the Redfern organization began in May 2006, when CAC™ was acquired, and relocated from Chandler, AZ to Lake Forest, CA. This pivotal transition marked the beginning of his long-standing career focusing on operational excellence and strategic development.

In 2009, Felix assumed operational responsibility for LCOA™. By 2016, he was promoted to Western Regional Operations Manager, overseeing operations for Insulectro’s Lake Forest and San Jose branches, as well as CAC™ and LCOA™.

Dan Diesel Promoted to Chief Strategy Officer

The Redfern Companies have announced the promotion of longtime employee Dan Diesel to position of Chief Strategy Officer for all its affiliated companies. Diesel recently hit a significant milestone of 43 years at the companies. Having served in many key roles over the years, Diesel was most recently Vice President of Business Strategy. His first position was Senior Programmer Analyst beginning January 5, 1981.

“Dan has been our prized ‘secret weapon’ in our business, infusing remarkable value into every facet of our businesses and across all business groups within each company,” commented Patrick Redfern, President & CEO. “His profound understanding of our customers, suppliers, and our operations has been instrumental in shaping our strategic direction. From acquisitions to supplier negotiations, Dan has been a guiding force, contributing his expertise for the past 43 years.

“Personally, Dan has been an invaluable mentor and trusted advisor to me, providing insights that have shaped many of our key decisions. His dedication, insight, and unwavering commitment to our success have been truly remarkable,” Redfern stated.

Diesel replied, “I am humbled by the recognition from Patrick and the family. The Redfern family has been very supportive to me and my family over the years, and I have enjoyed the many different roles I have been privileged to fulfill.
